There's nothing like a good book
Sometimes you can get so engrossed in something that the world changes around you without you realising it.

Clearing the Garden
Now that we have put the house up for sale I cleared up the garden this morning. As often seems to happen whenever I have a load of stuff that needs to be carried through the house and into the car it was pouring with rain. Washed floors. Bricks, concrete, old double glazing panels, wood, light fittings, a wicker bookcase and other bits of stuff all went to the dump.

Shed
Whilst manning the shop on the allotment site I drew the view out of the window. This is very much a rushed scribble in-between serving a select few customers. Chilly, showery, sunny spells.... Ground very wet still and I don't think the gardening season has really started yet. Still rather wintery for mid-March.

Ouch
Cold, grey and sleeting today. Went out for bike ride then dug a little on the allotment. Back gave way on me and so now resting in discomfort.

A Good Book
Reading an excellent book at the moment 'Deep Country' by Neil Ansell (2011). It is about a guy who goes and lives in a remote welsh cottage for a few years and writes about all the wildlife he sees. Not read a good easy and enjoyable read for ages - to many have been heavy going philosophical ones.

Robin Singing
Wish I had been out gardening all day. Instead I was piled high with work in front of my computer screen: either working on a batch of party ware or a kids fashion model type of kit. Warmest and sunniest day of the year so far. Birds are being more vocal now.

Allotment shed
It has been dry for a few days now and I was able to do a bit of clearing and digging this afternoon on my allotment. A little bit chilly, but I sat down and sketched this for half an hour or so and then finished it off at home. This was't my allotment though.

Plants for Sale
Started off by wanting a hill. Then added the trees and house. Looked a bit bland so added the garden around the house. I still wanted something extra and played around with several styles of fence and gate before deciding on the 'Plants for sale' idea. No animals today.
